Pearls

After we left the Chen Ancestral Temple, we headed to a large shopping mall that only sold jewelry.  It was amazing the amount of shops and types of jewelry we saw.

Before we headed inside, I saw this guy delivering water on his bike.
Inside the mall; floors and floors of jewelry.
We only went to one store that specialized in pearls.  Guangzhou is known for it's pearls so I looked forward to this shopping!  It was quite overwhelming by the amount of pearls in the store.  We bought Ava a pearl necklace for her wedding, and I split a strand of pearls with another mom in our group.  We had that strand made into bracelets for our daughter's 16th birthdays.

The girls all hand tie the pearl necklaces. They are super fast!

Ava's necklace being made.

Didn't get a picture of my purchases, so took a picture of my
friend's Mikki's.  The pearls are so nice and heavy!

As we were waiting for other families to finish up,
Ava played with this balloon.  She loved it!

As we were leaving the shopping center, I saw this sign
which is Ava's Chinese name!
