Monday July 1 continued to be a full day that ended with the Pearl River Dinner Cruise! I will admit that I was not too excited about the cruise as I had heard mixed reviews about it. We had also had an exhausting day, and would not be getting back to the hotel until after 9 pm. But it turned out to be quite fun, and I'm glad we went!

Earlier in the week, we had taught Ava to say "Ahh!" after she drinks something. She does it all the time, and it is so funny! Here is her reaction to some 7 Up! She is such a character.
We sat with our friends the Hill's and their daughter EK. EK was standing at the window by our table, and Ava thought that looked like fun! So she gave it a try too.
The dinner buffet was actually not bad. Jeremy was much more adventurous than I was...what he thought was pork turned out to be duck! He didn't see the head in the pan! They had a good variety of food to choose from. People weren't pushy in getting food as I had heard they could be.

After dinner, Guangzhou began to light up.

Large bridge that takes you into GZ. We went over this
bridge on our way from train station into GZ . |
The main sight to see is the Canton Tower which is the 2nd highest tower in the world. It is pretty impressive. Another family in our group visited the tower earlier in the week and took the bubble tram. This tram sits at the very top, and gives you a 360 degree view of GZ. Yeah, I like seeing GZ from the ground... especially when another LL family this Spring experienced mechanical problems on the bubble tram, and had to be evacuated.

There were at least 7 different color changes;
I didn't include them all! |
The night would not be complete without clown entertainment choreographed to "Livin' la vida loca!" Ava loved it, and had fun dancing with daddy!

| Classic Ava arm movement when dancing! |
We had a fun time, and it was a good way to end our trip in GZ!
