Swimming

The boys have always loved swimming, and I call them my little fishies! They both have very little fear of water which can be a blessing and a curse. When we are at the pool, they are non-stop swimming and jumping. And they basically go and go until they are completely spent.

Last week, they really wanted to jump off the diving board. I first made them practice jumping off the side of the pool into deeper water where they couldn't touch. I wanted them to feel what it is like to have to kick and swim to the surface. They both did very well, and weren't scared that they couldn't touch. So later that evening when Daddy could come back to the pool with us, they jumped off the diving board. They were hooked! Trevor said "that was awesome!"

Trevor can swim back to the side of the pool by himself. Evan wants to be able to "do it by myself" but he isn't quite strong enough to swim back. So either Jeremy or I tread water and swim him back to the side.
