Gotcha Day-part 3

We were not at the civil affairs office very long. There were two other children adopted as well. An adorable boy and girl who became siblings! Their parents are from South Carolina. I cried as I watched this family be united with their new children. Just like Ava, their kiddos did awesome too! They went right to their new parents and were so brave. I'm tearing up just writing about it. Such a privilege to witness the miracle of adoption and new families.

We left and headed to a market to buy things we needed for Ava. No pictures from the store. It was very hot in there, and we saw lots of interesting things!

Back at the room, daddy finally had a chance to hold his girl. She loves her daddy, and he is quite smitten too!

We changed her clothes because we didn't want the dress to get dirty. She ate a good lunch, and took a 3 hour nap! She slept on me for two hours of that nap which was awesome and good for bonding. We learned she is a thumb sucker!!!! Another great God wink as I was a huge thumb sucker when I was little! We woke her up for fear she wouldn't sleep. We fed her dinner and then a played a bit.

She is very smart and good at mimicking. She picked up the sign for more in two tries! She was also repeating words and sounds from her toys.

Doing the more sign.

Happy girl! We are blessed!
