New Newburgh Greenway

On Wednesday, the weather was beautiful and clear so I loaded up the boys, and we headed to the river. I had noticed that they had finished up work on a new greenway passage to the river on the outskirts of town. Eventually this greenway will link westward to the Evansville greenway corridor. This new short section was constructed and landscaped very well (notice the nice landscaping of trees and mulch outside the railings; it looks very natural). This new section then joins Water Street where they made a large, well marked pedestrian/bike lane. We really enjoyed this new path!

looking back towards the entrance;
the bridge was a one lane bridge
from Warrick County that they saved and restored

throwing rocks at a new location

Trevor thought the bridge was cool!
