We had a major milestone tonight when Evan said his first word! It was around 5:30 pm, and I was trying to sit down and eat. Evan was in the exersaucer and was starting to fuss. As I was walking towards him, he looked straight at me and said "mama!" He even said it twice. Trevor was my witness...he heard it too! He was as excited as I was!
I had noticed in the last week or so that Evan's babble was starting to have some distinctive consonant beginnings. I had hoped that, like Trevor, he too would say "mama" as his first word. Evan does hear Trevor saying "Mommy" about a million times a day!
After dinner, Trevor and Evan were playing and giggling at each other. Evan was doing his usual loud vocalizations, and I managed to get him to say "mama" a few times. Listen closely.....

I agree that it is super funny how he chews the word before he says it. He said Da-Da yesterday!
