Milestones

Milestones...a significant point in development.

We have experienced several new milestones in the past week, and have a few big milestones coming up in the next few weeks. Evan will turn 5 months old on Thursday. How is that possible? Trevor will be 3 in about a month. How is that possible? Every day seems to have some new milestone which I have loved experiencing and watching.

Evan's recent milestones include:

  • he graduated to a fast flow nipple! Feedings take much less time now, although he does seem to spit up a little more.
  • he rolled over several times in bed from tummy to back!
  • he's getting almost too big and too heavy for the big swing!
swinging outside on Saturday;
notice Evan's head is above the back of the seat!

always so happy!
look at how big I'm getting (this is a 12 month outfit!)

This past week we celebrated a milestone with friends - it was Suzana's 3rd birthday! How is that possible? Her mom, Barbara, and I were pregnant together - it was great to share that experience with a veteran! It is wonderful that our kids are close in age; we can commiserate, seek advice from each other and compare how our kids are/aren't hitting developmental milestones.

Some of Trevor's recent milestones include:
  • being more adventuresome. He climbed the side wood ladder to get to the top of Suzana's gym. Today he went up and through the Playland tunnels at McDonald's for the first time!
  • he is now carrying his plate and utensils to the counter when he is done eating!
  • he was invited and played for the first time at our neighbor's house unsupervised by Mommy or Daddy. Carter was at our house playing in the bounce house, and later asked "Can Trevor come over and play at my house?"
looking so grown up and proud of his achievement!

These next pictures aren't milestones, but they are just too funny to not include. Suzana's birthday favors for her guests included a notepad, pencil, bouncy ball, sunglasses and a ring. Below are pictures of Trevor sporting his new look.

This one makes me laugh out loud!

p.s. Happy 10th Birthday Hannah! We love you!
