Owensboro Children's Museum

On Sunday, it was cold and dreary out so we played inside a while and then headed to the Owensboro Children's Museum. On several past visits, Kirsten had mentioned that there was a children's museum in Owensboro. This time we had time to go check it out. It is a nice museum with a lot of potential.

Isaac got a work out pushing Trevor around in the lego bus.

Evan got to take a few spins around also!
He loved it!

At the museum, the main level had a huge area with all kinds of racing memorabilia. There are several well known NASCAR drivers from Owensboro. They had donated items, like blown out tires, cars and other things, that gave you an idea of what they experience in racing.

On the second floor, they had a few interactive kids activities and other items displayed.

Isaac looks good as a weatherman!

Also on this level there was a large play room with several different slides and climbing towers. I managed to get action shots of all the older boys coming down the giant tube slide. They all raced around and had the best time!

AHHHHHH!

YEAH!

A perfect 10 landing!

This is fun even though I look scared!
(Sorry Gavin that I didn't get a better picture of you!)

boat that also had a slide.

There was a really cool tree house that kids could climb in, walk a beam to the other side, and then slide down. At first, Trevor was too intimidated to try, but then he managed to crawl across. Finally, after several crawling passages, he became brave enough to walk across the beam. It was fun and amazing to watch him accomplish this all on his own!

Walking the beam!

I did it!

Much fun was had celebrating Evan's 1st birthday, and we appreciate that Aunt Kirsten and her boys were willing to drive down and celebrate with us!
