Late Tuesday morning, we headed back up to Alligator Alley. It was an amazing property with over 200 alligators. We spoke with the owner, Wes, and found out that the property has been in his family since 1934. His grandfather was the original owner, and he dug the canals that the alligators now call home. There is also a swamp that is original to the property, and the canal loops behind the swamp. Wes told us that many of the alligators on the property were nuisance alligators that were caught and brought to Alligator Alley.

One of the first alligators we saw;
a big one out sunning himself!

Near the viewing tower and feeding station;
the middle alligator has his mouth open!

A look at the landscape from the viewing tower.
After watching some of the alligators in the main cannel, we headed back to the swamp. The swamp was so beautiful and peaceful! Wes built a large boardwalk over the swamp that loops through several different sections of the swamp.

we bought some alligator food, and feed a few alligators here!

One of the main attractions at Alligator Alley is Captain Crunch. He is a LARGE alligator! He is over 13 feet long, weighs over 800 lbs and is the world record holder in bite force. You can watch a video of him here -

Trevor was so excited to see Captain Crunch. He has been telling everyone he meets about Captain Crunch. Some have thought he was talking about cereal!
