Ocean and Dolphins

Thursday was a gorgeous day. We got up very early to have our pictures taken professionally on the beach at sunrise. While Evan took a morning nap, Daddy and Trevor headed down to the beach to play in the surf and in the sand.

finally a good view of the beautiful ocean color

beautiful blue skies and blue-green water

After seeing some literature about dolphin cruises, we decided that it would be a fun activity for our family. We were also surprised at how reasonable the prices were! We took an early afternoon cruise, and we were hopefully that we would see some dolphins in their natural habitat.

Let's go see dolphins!

This is fun!

Our boat's captain, Richie, took use through several bays. He finally found some dolphin pods, and that was exciting to see them. But what was to come was even more exciting!

After watching numerous dolphins swim in the area, our captain told us he was going to speed up the boat. He hoped that the dolphins would play in the boat's wake, and they did! It was soooooo cool and amazing. I only wished that it had lasted longer. Unfortunately, on the second attempt to get them to play in the wake, we experienced engine problems. Yes, we did make back to shore, although very slowly!

jumping right beside the boat!!!

another good jumper near the boat!
