River memories

Kirsten and the boys arrived on Wednesday at about 11 a.m., and after lunch, all the boys had great fun playing with each other. Trevor and Isaac had much fun playing in the Sand and Water table outside. Later, Trevor introduced cousin Adam to the fine art of wearing a butter bucket on his head.

After dinner we headed down to the river to throw rocks, and hoped to see some barges. It was a very busy barge night. We saw 3 barges, and one passed very closely to shore. None of us will ever forget when he blew his horn, and scared the snot out of all of us. It was very loud, but very funny once we all got over being startled. Another barge passing down river also honked his horn but it was a much softer and gentler horn! Trevor is still talking about the "barge boat" that blew it's horn and made him cry, but he still thinks it was pretty cool!

  1. Looks and sounds like y'all had a great time being together. I love my grandsons! They have such good parents! I'm really pleased that the cousins enjoy being together, playing together, and getting to know one another so well. I didn't have that growing up and I'm glad they're being provided that great family connection! Love- Dad/Grandpa Eric

  2. I will NEVER forget how we ALL nearly jumped out of our skin when that barge blew its horn! I think Evan grew when he stretched his flailing arms and legs out so far! Poor Trevor- I figured he would be talking about that one still and probably will for quite some time to come!
    Love- Kirsten
