We have taken Trevor to the Evansville State Hospital grounds twice now to feed the ducks and geese. One our first visit, there were many baby ducks and geese. They are soooo cute! Trevor really enjoys throwing pieces of bread to them.
On Saturday when we visited, we didn't see as many babies but there were still a lot of ducks and geese hanging around. Unfortunately on this trip, Trevor leaned up against the railing and got poop on his shirt! YUCK! We were going out to lunch afterwards, and so we stopped at Once upon a Child to get Trevor a new shirt. Turns out it was his lucky day because I found a Thomas "Steamies vs Diesels" t-shirt. He thinks it is the coolest shirt.
On our first visit to the pond, we saw this blue heron. He put on quite the show for us by spearing and eating several blue gills! He was also a real bully, and would go after the mallard ducks if they got too close. Not a bird I would want to tangle with!
