Today we took the kids to Living Treasures Animal Park in New Castle, PA. Jeremy's coworkers gave him a surprise send off party a few weeks ago, and surprised us with a gift certificate to the park. So sweet of them! We had never been there so it was a fun final summer adventure for us!
Upon arrival, you can buy bags of carrots and/or buckets of feed to give to the animals through out the park. The boys loved it! Ava even got in on some of the action too. The first enclosure had goats, alpacas and a few bunnies. The boys LOVED the goats.

"Hey buddy! Why are you chewing on my stroller?"
These little goats were so cute and friendly!
I had never really been up close with an Alpaca before. I didn't realize they have such beautiful eyes! They were also super friendly!
The highlight of the day was feeding the giraffes! There were two in this enclosure, and the boys got a kick out of how they twirled their tongues around the carrots. Giraffes have very long tongues!
They also had tigers and lions. You couldn't feed them, thank goodness! But they were beautiful to look at.
Ava rode around in the stroller for quite a bit, but was ready to stretch her legs. Here she is leaning over to check out a Giant African Tortoise. This thing was huge!
They also had water buffalo and more Scottish Highlander Cattle. Those are beautiful animals also!
They had an enclosure with different types of reindeer. Here Trevor is visiting with one that had a huge rack of antlers!
Almost nose to nose!
In the middle of the park, they had a children's playground. Evan was enamored with this mechanical buffalo that talked and blew smoke out of his nose. Evan would run and play, and then come back and push the button to make the buffalo do it's thing!
Ava had a great time playing, going down the slide, and dancing inside the ark.
So excited!
Trevor going doing the fireman's pole - but he called it a "zipline!" He was so proud of himself!
Wheeee-this is fun!
Dancing up a storm in the ark!
Peek-a-boo- I see a beautiful girl!
The kiddos (and parents) really enjoyed the park, and we hope to go back again!
She is so cute! Looks like everyone had a good time making memories. Blessings
