Fall Festival

On Friday, October 26th, our church held it's annual outreach event called Fall Festival. They have a ton of games through out the church for all ages, and conclude the event with a trunk or treat.  We had the pleasure of taking Trevor's best friend Dominick with us because Dominick's sister was having a birthday party. 

Evan went as Spiderman because he is still his favorite.  Trevor was quite creative in his costume.  There is an older toy called Planet Heroes.  Last spring, we found a set at a consignment sale, and the boys love to play with these figurines.  At Awana's last week, Trevor found the Black Hole character in the Awana store. He was so excited!  So Trevor wanted to go as Black Hole.  In addition, he had to bring his light saber because he heard a real Darth Vader was going to be at Fall Festival.

 When we got to church it was pretty busy...they had around 500 kids plus parents there!  We did a few games, but then the big boys wanted to play on the inflatable maze and slide.

Weee...this is awesome!

We finally made it to the Darth Vader room.  In this game, they take 6 kids in who must defeat Darth Vader by throwing balls at him.  They get three chances.  They make it extra cool by playing the Star Wars theme music as it begins and the room is totally in the dark.  Darth is located by his light up lightsaber!

We had so much fun this year at Fall Festival.  Earlier this week I thought it might be our only trick or treating (which is perfectly fine with me) due to Hurricane Sandy.  But they have moved our trick or treating to Saturday evening.
