Slip-n-Slide Evolution

We have had great fun using our yard to make the ultimate slip-n-slide courses.  The slip-n-slide came out in May, and we used just the new one Evan received for his birthday.  At this point, Evan was not having anything to do with the slip-n-slide.  He would only go down when we turned the water off.  And then he went very, very slowly.

Then Daddy thought we can make a longer slip-n-slide and put it in the side yard where the grade is a little steeper and more gradual.  So he hooked three slip-n-slides together. Trevor loved it; Evan still not loving it.

In June, Daddy decided to move the slip-n-slide to try a new layout.  Plus our grass directly behind our house is much better.  Not only did he use three slip-n-slides, but he pulled out the tarp and went and bought plastic sheeting.  We now think we have the longest slip-n-slide in Beaver County....it is 80 feet long!

the ULTIMATE slip-n-slide

Evan's slipping-n-sliding has also evolved.  He went from timid and scared to crazy, fast, lover of the slip-n-slide.  He can go forwards, backwards, and recently learned to go on his knees like big brother.

Backwards!

A face full of water - this is FUN!

Look at me go!
Trevor has always amazed us with his slip-n-slide stylings.  He goes crazy fast, and last week added some air to his moves.

Jumping from his kneeling position -
he has great balance and goes down the
whole slide on his knees.

This is a blast!

Being silly!
Thanks Daddy for coming up with awesome slip-n-slides!
You do deserve Daddy of the Year!

  1. Don't "they" always say "Bigger is better!"? In this case, a bigger slip-n-slide is the best!! ;-) Love y'all - Mee-Maw

I haven't been on your blog in quite sometime even though you have sent updates, so sorry about that!

Was good to read and see all the excitement that has been happening! We are praying for your new little one and the process! We can't wait to see who God has in store for you!

Trevor looked so awesome jumping off that bus! I would have been crying with relief and delight!!!! Public school may get a bad wrap but not always, you are right, it has a lot to do with parenting and the child. He can and will be a light.

That train trip looked like so much fun! Will have to check that out sometime if we can get your way during warm weather!

Evan's goofy cross eyes has me laughing out loud! Silly boy!

We still need those boys at our house for CAMP SCHMILL!

    Love you- Kirsten
