Imagination and Creativity

I couldn't fit all the different pictures I have taken over the summer of the boys in their costumes.  We have had many good laughs at what they come up with and so enjoy their imagination and creativity.

Their favorite thing to do is color their skin with washable Crayola markers.  It was becoming a daily occurance, and I finally had to put a limit on it!  They were getting marker all over everything (carpet, quilts, floors....) because it would rub off.  I didn't want to squash their imagination but after a while I got tired of cleaning it up and cleaning them up!

He-Man (Evan) and Skeletor (Trevor)
These costumes were inspired when we went to a neighbor's garage sale.  Trevor and Evan got a bunch of 80's toys including a He-Man and Skeletor.  Of course this brought back many memories for Daddy!  The boys were intrigued by these characters and wanted to play act.  We even managed to find some on-line coloring pages of He-Man.

Trevor and Evan also love to play together as other superheros.  Batman and Spiderman are Evan's favorites.  Here they were acting out Two-Face and Batman.  Trevor was very specific about picking out his clothes to replicate the nice clothes that the villian Two-Face wears.  I can't remember why Two-Face is half man and half villian, but his body is split down the middle.  So notice Trevor's half colored face, one colored hand and mis-matched shoes.  I think he did a good job replicating Two-Face from his figurine!

Two-Face from Batman-
Evan was Batman this time.  Can you see his colored in Batman logo on his chest and self colored legs?  Evan can be very adament that he can't be a superhero without coloring his skin!

Batman -
This week's adventure took us outside where the boys were hunting monsters and dragons.  They were also protecting me, the Princess :)  I love it when Evan says in his sweet 3 year old voice "I will protect you Princess!"

About to start our adventure, and showing their fierce sides!

Trevor tends to be the leader in all of our adventures, and he took us up to the "Crickety-Crockety Bridge" which we had to cross to get to "Dragon Village."  I hope we continue to have many more imaginative adventures!
