Monday in Gettysburg, PA

On Monday morning, we headed down to Gettysburg, PA to visit the Boyd's Bear Barn and see parts of the Gettysburg National Park. The Boyd's Bear Barn is very cool with so much to see inside. The main floor was wall to wall Boyd's Bear stuff in any shape or size! Although we did find some Thomas wall clings which Trevor wanted very badly. Trevor was very excited to build a bear so we headed up stairs and wandered a bit before visiting the Bear Factory.

Evan was a good shopper taking it all in via the stroller.

Love this picture! Trevor thought this car was pretty neat0!

Making our way to the Bear Factory;
they also have a nursey which is behind Trevor.
Kids can adopt bears from the nursey!

picking out the colored beans to put in his bear

pouring the beans into his bear

rubbing the special gold bean to make it warm
and full of love before putting inside!

All done! First hug for the new bear!

After finishing up at Boyd's we headed into Gettysburg for some lunch at McDonalds. Trevor ran off some steam in the playland before we hopped back in the van. We were very close to the battle grounds so Papa drove us through part of the park.

There were monuments EVERY where!

The Pennsylvania Monument;
it was huge!

We would like to go back to Gettysburg when the boys are bigger, and have better knowledge about the battles that took place. Even on a gray, dreary day, it was such a beautiful, peaceful place. It is hard to imagine an ugly, bloody battle took place here.
