Ava's Dedication

On Sunday, November 17th, we had Ava dedicated at church. We were so excited to have her dedicated during the month that is set aside for Adoption Awareness.  She looked so beautiful in her purple silk dress we bought while in China.

Prior to the service we tried to snap a few pictures of our little beauty, but she was rather busy!

This picture cracks.me.up!

Quick family picture before the service began.

We had to wait a bit through singing and a video before it was time for the dedication.  Ava and the boys were a bit antsy.  Trevor did a great job standing still; Evan was his typical wiggle worm self.

Pastor Jeff did a great job introducing our family and shared a bit of our journey to Ava.  One really cool moment towards the end occurred when he spoke her full name, and she immediately stopped wiggling and stared right at him.  He then shared that he chose Ruth 1:16 to be Ava's dedication verse which says "Your people will be my people, and your God my God."  This ties in so beautifully with Ava's middle name, and the journey she has taken.

She is a blessing from God, and we are so humbled to be her parents.  We pray that as she grows she can see the work of Lord in her life, and that her love for God grows and blossoms.
