5 Months Home & 20 Months Old

Ava has been in our family for 5 months already, and turned 20 months old on Nov. 9th.  We were quite busy following Halloween.  Ava had an out patient procedure on Nov 1 to check her China surgery site.  Turns out her repair was done pretty well; not perfectly so we will be seeking a second opinion in the coming months.

She continues to grow and blossom.  She is starting to put words together, and is saying many more words.  She can now say trash, all gone, full, have some, all done, pray, sing, play, orange, fork, yo-yo for yogurt, lego (which sounds more like yellow), horse, owl, duck, sheep, cow, cheese, chi-chi's (cheezits), ice, and melmo (which is a combination of milk and elmo....our version of chocolate milk in an elmo cup).

She is still quite daring, and loves to climb.  She is lightning fast, and will be up on a chair at the counter before you can turn around!  She is also very independent and will push chairs or stools around to get what she wants.

On Novemeber 12th, we had our first snow and she was mesmerized!  She wasn't afraid of it and put her little hand right down in it to see what all this white stuff was on our deck.

Ava's hands on the left, Evan's hand on the right!

We quickly got dressed, and at first, she wasn't so sure.  But she quickly warmed up to this idea of playing in the snow.  She squealed with delight when all three of us (Mommy, Evan and Ava) would all go down on the sled together!  She loved it!
