Trevor finished up his 1st season of Spring Soccer on Saturday, June 2nd. He had so much fun and did a great job. One Saturday he had 7 goals, and on the final Saturday he had 2 goals.

Getting ready for practice/game & showing off his favorite Angry Birds! |
The coaches would split the practice time into two sessions. The first half focused on fun, soccer drills. They were very kid friendly that often included funny antics. There was "Crabby, Crabby, Let's get Snappy" where the kids had to dribble the ball away from the Crabs and shout "Cowabunga Dude" before they could start. Different pirate games, monster/alien game, etc... All of the drills were hoping to instill some soccer fundamentals like dribbling, stopping, and passing.

| Waiting for directions on how to play this drill |
After the drills, the coaches would split the team onto two fields. Then the kids would play 4 on 4 soccer without a goalie. Hence why Trevor could get 7 goals one day!

| Another goal! YEAH! |
We were proud of how hard Trevor played every week. While most of the kids didn't always have a concept of passing it to teammates, they did all play together well. The coaches tried to keep it fair with evenly balanced teams, and didn't keep score. But the kids certainly kept score!

| That was fun! |
The highlight of the day was receiving a soccer trophy for participating. Trevor was SO EXCITED and had to take the trophy to church the next day to show to friends and teachers.

Dearest Trevor! You are so AWESOME, so TALENTED and OH SO CUTE!!! We're so proud of you and hope that one of these days we can come and watch you play soccer. And we love your very "1st" trophy; we remember when "Daddy" got his "1st" trophy for playing baseball!!! We bet that he still has it and maybe he'll show it to you and Evan! Thank you for being our grandson and thank you for being such a wonderful "Big Brudder" to Baby Evan! Lots of love, hugs & kisses to you both, Papa Dennis & Nana
