French Lick Scenic Railroad - Part I

At some point this summer, Trevor said he wanted to ride a train for his birthday. I remembered that there was a train ride in French Lick, and had heard that it was a scenic tour through the Hoosier National Forest. I was a little nervous about the length of the ride, and wondered if the boys could sit still for almost 2 hours. Turns out that they did marvelously, and we had a great time!

The diesel engine that Trevor called Percy;
Percy, Thomas the Train's best friend,
is also green and the number 6!

Once on board the train, the boys were a little antsy so we decided to pull out the presents we brought along for Trevor to open. This helped pass the time before we left the station.

All smiles with his first present!

Evan even got a little present to open
so he would have something new to play with!

A Thomas Coloring Book!

The boys were so excited once we got moving. The conductor blew the whistle several times, and there were several intersections in town where he also blew the whistle. Turns out we were the last coach car so we had an awesome view out the back door.
So excited for the ride!
