1st Day of PreSchool and 1st Field Trip

Evan was very excited for preschool to start because it was finally his turn to go to school!  We started him at our church's pre-school, but quickly realized that it was probably not the right fit for us.  The program is great, but I hadn't completely thought through all the details when deciding last spring before Ava was home.  Turns out a preschool much closer to our house still had a few openings so we switched Evan.  He did beautifully with the transition, and his new teacher said it was like he was always there!

At First Presbyterian Preschool;
He LOVES it!
We accompanied Evan on his 1st ever field trip to the Beaver Conservation District.  He was really hoping to see a beaver.  No beaver sightings, but he loved this coyote!

The naturalist took the whole class on a nature walk around the conservation wetlands.  It was pretty long walk, but she kept the kids busy looking for nuts, tracks and leaves.

Ava is still wanting to take a morning nap (part of our reason for switching schools), and she conked out in the back pack carrier while on the nature walk.

Evan is doing so well in school.  He can write his name, is doing a good job of coloring in the lines, and is eager to learn.  I can't wait to watch him grow this year!
