Evan turned 4 years old on Wednesday April 24, but we actually celebrated his birthday a day early on Tuesday. Evan and Trevor were both in Awana's this year, and they meet on Wednesdays. Also Mommy had a rehearsal that evening. I don't think Evan minded that we celebrated a day early! Daddy came home from work a little early, and Evan opened presents.
Evan wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner so that he could ride in the saddle while they sing their Happy Birthday song. We had a good time!
All that excitement and turning 4 makes someone a little tired. Evan feel asleep on the way home!
This past weekend as part of Evan's birthday gift, we took the boys back up to Erie, PA to Splash Lagoon. We stopped at Presque Isle before heading to the water park. We love it at Presque Isle! Jeremy says it reminds him of Herrington Beach where he grew up.
The boys were thrilled to be back at Splash Lagoon. We spent all day Sunday there and most of Monday. Both the boys are little fish. Trevor learned how to swim underwater through Mommy and Daddy's legs, and Evan was fearless in the wave pool and didn't want our help. Trevor and Daddy rode a lot of the bigger slides, and on Monday, Evan conquered his fear and went down his first big slide. He spent the rest of Monday riding the red slide probably a 100 times!
Oh my goodness Evan!!! You look so much like your "Daddy" at this age! Love, love, love all these wonderful pictures that Mommy took of your "Big Days" and we're so proud of you for finally taking on "The Big Red Slide!" Good for you! Pretty soon, Daddy will be able to just sit & watch you & Trevor "sliding the slides" by yourselves!!! We love you all the way to the moon & back, you little doll! And we love Trevor that much too...Nana & Papa Dennis
