On Monday, I contacted Ann at Red Thread to see if it would even be possible to get a birthday care package to Ava in time for her birthday. Ann said YES! So I quickly fashioned a letter to the Orphanage Director and nannies in which we introduce ourselves. We can also ask some questions about Ava, and are hoping that they will be answered. Some of the things we asked were about the meaning of her given Chinese name, why it was chosen for her, what makes her laugh, what makes her upset, how they soothe her, is she walking (we have pictures of her standing already!), and a few other things we would like to know. We also sent our family picture to be put on a pillow. This way she will have us by her side in her crib until we can go get her.
Praying that we can get pictures of her with her cake, bear and pillow. What a vision that is to think of her holding and seeing her family for the first time!
God's fingerprints are all over Ava's adoption story, and we are humbled that we are walking this path he has set our feet to! May He be glorified through this, and may Ava know that He designed her with a perfect plan and purpose.

What an awesome journey God has set you upon!! Thanks for sharing these details in such a wonderfully creative way. Reading these posts has given me chills, and filled me with a sense of awe at the way our Heavenly Father has been at work. I cannot wait until the day when we can meet little Ava in person! Am also thanking & praising God for the faith that is growing deeper & deeper in all of you every day. As a parent, I simply could not be prouder! Love & hugs to all - Mom
