Birthday Festivities

We had so much fun celebrating Trevor's birthday with friends who have become like family to us in Evansville. Although it makes me sad that our extended families don't live closer or us to them so that we can celebrate birthdays with them also.

Let's get this party started!

After decorating the rocket booster packs, we headed outside to play three games. The first game was called "Moonrock Relay." We split the kids into two teams, and the first team to get all their moonrocks carried to a bowl using tongs wins. It was neck and neck to the end, but Trevor, Landon and Jackson were victorious.

were aluminium foil balls.

The next game we played was call "Comet Toss." Here I attempted to get the kids to stand in a line, and toss their "comets" towards the bowl. They ended up having more fun seeing how high and far they could throw them so I ditched the game aspect.

The last game we played was call "Pass the Meteorite." The meteorite was another large foil ball with surprises wrapped inside. Each player was to peel off a layer of the meteorite to reveal their prize. Inside were slinkies, yo-yo's, and silly putty. After some trading, I think everyone was happy with their final prize.

After games, we headed inside for a pizza lunch and opened presents when every one was done eating.

We saved eating cake for last, and when I asked if anyone wanted cake, we had a house-full of excited kids! We sang Happy Birthday to Trevor, and he blew out his candles. Thanks to all who helped us create another special birthday for Trevor!

Yum...this is good!

  2. Looks like everybody had so much fun! Wish we could have joined the party too. The boys will have to demonstrate their rocket blasters for me next week!
