Fun with Trevor

I'm constantly blown away by how quickly Trevor is changing and growing up. For the longest time I have seen him as a baby making gradual developmental progress. But since Christmas he has changed so much in how he speaks and socializes. He remembers people's names, and things we have done that might have happened several weeks ago. He is very observant, and will relate stories of situations back to us - sometimes hours after the fact. The classic example of this is his retelling of what happened when the garage door would not go down and what I said about it. We were in the car later that day, and Trevor says "Daddy, I have a question....the garage door not down, What's the Deal?" (imagine being said with good vocal inflection!) Of course we laughed hysterically which only egged him on more. Those are moments I hope to never forget. Here are a few more of his favorite sayings:
  • "How about that?" - picked this one up from Daddy who seems to say this a lot.
  • "Good gracious/oh my goodness!" - picked those up from Mommy!
  • "pretty cool!"
Trevor took this picture of Evan. He loves to take pictures, and is getting better. For a while, he would smash the camera lens agaist his forehead and say "cheese!" We were constantly deleting at least 5-10 pictures of his skin. He seems to have outgrown this phase!

Trevor continues to demonstrate his love for Evan by wanting to be near him. Didn't have to stage this picture. We put Evan in the bumbo seat, and Trevor climbed up to sit next to him.

Trevor and I have had much fun shredding old documents this week. Since moving all of my music from my UE office to home, I had to make room in our filing cabinet to hold it all. So I have been purging files. We still had bills and other "important" documents from Montana! I even got rid of my wedding file folder! Trevor thought shredding was "pretty cool," and we have now run out of things to shred.

The last funny thing he has been doing lately is a "crazy dance" around his old Leapfrog table. We pulled out some of his old baby toys for Evan. While Evan is not ready for the Leapfrog table or some of the other toys yet, it has been interesting and fun to watch Trevor play with the toys again now that he is bigger.

  1. Trevor's Crazy Dance reminds us of Gavin and Adam's Happy Dance. Except that they didn't shake their heads near as wildly as Trevor! Way to Bust A Move Dude!

Can't wait to see you in about a week!
    Love- Kirsten
