Trevor milestones

Trevor and I have been working on his recognition of letters, and he is doing very well. A few weeks ago, he surprised me by singing the alphabet song which I think he picked up from his different toys that play that song. This past week, he surprised me again, when he was able to play a more advanced computer game in which he must identify the letter and then type it in.

With his interest in learning letters, I picked up a wipe board book which will help him learn to write letters. While he doesn't quite hold the marker right yet, he does enjoy following the lines in the pictures that will help him develop his writing skills. Below he is working on straight lines to form the letters 't' and 'x'.

He still loves building things with blocks. Below is a creation he and I made the other morning. Tonight after dinner, he was making "cakes" for each one of us out of blocks. Then we would sing "Happy Birthday" and blow out the pretend candles! When I asked him what flavor my cake was he replied "chocolate-nilla wafer-poly pop!" Which got a good chuckle out of daddy and mommy!
